Gigi Leung is a sculptor and designer

Working primarily with clay. Her work grows out of close observation and personal narrative, using figurative sculpture to explore resilience, vulnerability, and the human form.

Before turning to sculpture, Gigi built a career as an award-winning designer and creative director. She served as Senior Vice President of a New York City-based branding and marketing firm and Vice President of Design and Creative Services, North America, at Sotheby's, overseeing creative direction for the New York office spanning brand identity, marketing materials, and exhibition design. She later founded and led her own design company, Gi-Space Design, for twenty-five years, working across brand development, trend exploration, creative design, and marketing.

Gigi holds a BFA with High Honors in Graphic and Packaging Design from ArtCenter College of Design. She has also trained in portraiture and expressive drawing before pursuing intensive figurative sculpture study in Greece and the Netherlands.

Her work has been exhibited at the Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale and the Finnish Pavilion at the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale.
